KAROO NEWS - Today, 23 December, on the N9 between Graaff Reinet and Aberdeen, two vehicles collided, and a third one in a secondary accident, crashed into the two vehicles.
According to Unathi Binqose, spokesperson for the Department of Transport, an SUV with five occupants on board collided with an Iveco Minibus (number of occupants unknown).
Three adults in the SUV were conveyed to the Midlands Hospital, and two other occupants refused to be transported to the hospital. There was no one injured in the Iveco Minibus.
In a secondary accident, a Toyota Quantum Minibus also crashed into the Iveco Minibus.
A total of 16 people were involved in the secondary crash, of which two adult females died on the scene.
A culpable homicide docket has been opened for further investigations.
