GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Community meeting: 26 September
Aberdeen SAPS will host the meeting at the library hall at 5pm. On the agenda will be CPF elections, the formation of street committees, and general crime-related information. Station Commander Captain Vernon Minnaar will chair the meeting.
Jan Rupert Art Centre
In celebration of Heritage Month, this art centre in Graaff-Reinet is showcasing The Lay of the Land exhibition of 20th century South African prints, paintings and sculptures.
Hymn Fest: 3 October
Trinity Methodist Church Graaff-Reinet will host organist Noel-Jean Creill at 6.30pm. Church members selected their favourite hymns to be performed, in memory of those who have passed on, and other loved ones. Those present can sing along and a moment will be given to light a memory candle. Entrance is free, but offerings will be taken to cover costs.
Organ recital: 5 October
Trinity Methodist Church Graaff-Reinet will host organist Noël-Jean Creill at 11am, with a special musical surprise by the group Cantory. Contact Mariana on 049 892 2366 for more details and ticket prices.

Pledge a Santa Shoebox
This year, the organisation is supporting 70 children from a Graaff-Reinet facility, and 50 in Aberdeen.
Graaff-Reinet co-ordinator Kitty Viljoen encourages sponsors to register on the website as soon as possible.
Completed boxes should be dropped off at THREE 16 bookshop at the Assembly Café in Caledon Street, Graaff-Reinet, by 25 October.
