GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Exhibition of art and photographs: 20 September.
Art enthusiasts are reminded of the new art exhibition that will be showcased by Imibala Gallery Graaff-Reinet on Friday 20 September, at 6pm for 6.30pm. The exhibition will include photographs by Lawrance Brennon and paintings by Sharon Strydom.

Climate change protest:
20 September
Support Centre for Land Change will march to call for the Dr Beyers Naudé Municipality to be declared a frack-free zone. The District Municipality will also be asked to invest in renewable energy infrastructure. The event will start at 11am at the Methodist Church in Umasizakhe, and proceed to the municipal offices in Church Square. New exhibition at Jan Rupert Art Centre
In celebration of Heritage Month, this art centre in Graaff-Reinet will showcase The Lay of the Land exhibition of 20th century South African prints, paintings and sculptures. The exhibition opened on Wednesday 18 September.
Hymn Fest: 3 October
Trinity Methodist Church Graaff-Reinet will host organist Noel-Jean Creill at 6.30pm. Church members selected their favourite hymns to be performed, in memory of those who have passed on, and other loved ones.
Three community members still have the chance to send in their favourite music, subject to availability. Contact Mariana on 049 892 2366. Requests must be in by Tuesday 24 September.
Those present can sing along to their favourite tunes and a moment will be given to light a memory candle. Entrance is free but offerings will be taken to cover costs.
Organ recital: 5 October
Trinity Methodist Church Graaff-Reinet will host organist Noel-Jean Creill at 11am, with a special music surprise by the group Canory.
