GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A 42-year-old man died after a fight in Asherville, Graaff-Reinet, on Friday night, 2 November.
At 23:45, SAPS members attended to a complaint about fighting in Affodil Street.
When they arrived at the scene of the incident, the victim had already been taken to the Midland Hospital for treatment. Later on, police received a report from the hospital to say that the victim had passed away as a result of a stab wound to the chest.
An 18-year-old suspect was arrested.
A young girl is the victim of a horrific case of rape by a family member, which happened many times over a period of seven months. This took place in her home in New Location, Umasizakhe, between January and July this year.
A suspect has been arrested, but due to the sensitive nature of the case, the police are not able to release any more details.
A 31-year-old woman was assaulted in broad daylight while pushing a pram along Middle Street in Graaff-Reinet. The incident took place last Tuesday, 30 October, at 10:50. As the woman was pushing the pram down the street, a man came from behind and grabbed her genitals. The suspect has been arrested.
