GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease.
In support of this initiative, the ladies of the Spandau Secondary School in Graaff-Reinet will once again host their annual Pink Tea to raise funds for cancer sufferers and to put the spotlight on cancer awareness.
The event will be held later on in October - the specific date and venue will be communicated to the public shortly.
All ladies from Graaff-Reinet and surrounds are hereby tentatively invited to attend this special function which serves to celebrate the lives of breast cancer survivors while providing hope to those currently battling the disease.
The success of this function depends entirely on the generous donations of local businesses and private sponsors - donations are needed for lucky draws, refreshments and the like and the organisers wish to forewarn potential donors that they will shortly be in contact with them to plead for donations.
Anyone who would like to become involved can contact Ethen Hufkie at 083 650 2556.
Further information will follow shortly, so, in the meantime prepare yourselves!
