GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Members of the Graaff-Reinet Police confiscated khat to the value of R11 900 on a bus on Sunday evening.
This followed after SAPS received information that one of a specific company's coaches will be passing through Graaff-Reinet carrying drugs.
All the company's coaches were searched and boxes containing khat were found on a coach en route from Gauteng to Cape Town.
Lieutenant Colonel Moira Abrahams, visible policing commander in Graaff-Reinet, says no arrests were made. Nobody on the coach took responsibility for the khat. Abrahams congratulated the five members who found the drugs before it ended up on the street. "I am proud to be the commander of these members," says Abrahams.
