GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The infamous Jurg Wagener from Sterland Stargazing in Sutherland will be offering a course on basic astronomy and star gazing over three evenings in Graaff-Reinet during the month of May.
Anyone interested in attending this course can contact Ria Fivaz on 082 783 4520. Space is limited. Jurg will be bringing one of his telescopes along for aspiring astronomers to view the night sky through and will assist a number of local enthusiasts on the correct use of their own personal telescopes too.
A safe spot for the event has been secured a short distance from town to ensure the best viewing possible of the night sky.
Get ready to be totally amazed and learn how to identify many of the constellations, planets and stars that local residents are able to see here so clearly in the Karoo.
