SOMERSET EAST NEWS - Police are investigating the murder of 35-year-old Gertjie Rockey Jansen of Somerset-East after the decease succumbed to injuries in the Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth on Monday 21 June, a day after being transferred from Andries Vosloo Hospital in Somerset-East.

It is alleged that EMS Somerset-East had found the deceased lying next to the road in Charles Street, Somerset-East, on the evening of Sunday 20 June.

Police received information that the deceased was assaulted by an unknown person in Charles Street during the evening of Saturday 19 June and early hours of Sunday 20 June.

Somerset-East detectives are investigating a murder case.

At this stage no one has been arrested for the murder.
