GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A municipal worker discovered skeletal remains while clearing bushes and disturbing the ground near the perimeter fencing of the Police Dog Unit, in Middle Street.
Emergency services were contacted and on arrival, Graaff-Reinet detectives removed the remains.
Detectives said that the skeletal remains are to be sent away for DNA testing to confirm the origin or identification of the skeletal remains.
Anyone with information that could assist the local police is asked to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Marais, on 049 807 6600.
The municipal worker was not available for any comment.
