NIEU-BETHESDA NUUS - Lettie de Klerk School is delighted to announce the appointment of Shellyn Butterworth who began teaching a Grade 1 class last term.
A fully qualified Foundation Phase, Remedial teacher with 7 years' experience, Butterworth says that she is delighted to be able to make a difference to her young charges, and one of her greatest desires is that they walk out happy and fulfilled at the end of each day.
Principal Barbara Vaaltyn welcomed Butterworth at the school. "It is a blessing to have Shellyn on board - especially due to the fact that she is an excellent remedial teacher.
"It is far more educationally sound now that we have two Grade 1 classes of 22 learners, as opposed to one large class."
Butterworth has relocated and lives in Nieu-Bethesda, and the village welcomes her expertise and passion for teaching.
