KAROO NEWS - This year's 14th annual SA National Parks Week took place from Sunday 8 to Sunday 15 September, during which time South Africans could visit one of the 21 national parks for free.
SANParks Chief Executive Officer, Fundisile Mketeni, said it was important for South Africans to make use of the opportunity and to know the importance of national parks.
"Our parks act as spaces to practice sustainable conservation, and preserve and celebrate our culture and heritage."
