KAROO NEWS - Local blood donors are encouraged to donate blood next week, when the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) will make a trip to multiple Karoo towns.
“The persistent national blood shortage is creating great concern and we rely on your support to manage the situation to the best of our ability,” urged Donors Relations Practitioner, Zikhona Ruiters.
The dates of SANBS’ visits are as follows:
- Graaff-Reinet: Te Watersaal – 16 November at 14:00 - 18:00
- Aberdeen: Library Hall – 16 November at 12:00 - 17:00
- Graaff-Reinet: Te Watersaal – 17 November at 12:00 - 18:00
- Somerset East: Library Hall – 18 November at 11:00 - 16:00
Every person who donates blood will receive a combo gift that consists of a 500 ml SANBS branded hand sanitiser, as well as multi-function s keyring. Fourth-time commitment gifts are also back in stock.
