GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Creative minds are already thinking of ideas for the Recycle Fashion Show at the Karoo-lus Festival on Saturday, 29 September.
This is event is being hosted by the ACVV on behalf of Huis van de Graaff.
The theme for this year is Fairytales, and the creations can take the form of a fancy dress costume to be modelled on the day, or a party decoration such as a table centrepiece.
Each category will be split into two age groups, so that primary school children are not judged against adults: the junior event is for primary school or nursery school children, and the senior, for high school pupils and adults. There will be great prizes available in each category and age group.
Creations are to be made primarily from Montego bags, although of course other materials may also be used. Clean new bags can be obtained for free at the Montego offices.
The event will start at 12:00 on the Saturday, and entrants are asked to report to the organisers by 11:30 at the latest.
