GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The annual primary interschool athletics competition between the talented young athletes of Union and Laer Volkskool was contested on Tuesday afternoon, 19 February.
In perfect weather conditions, Union’s beautiful sports ground was a hive of activity, with athletes participating in 64 different field and track events.

Many of the races were very closely contested, with all the athletes putting forth sterling efforts.
Fourteen new records were set during the event, with Union taking top honours overall, with 1074 points compared to Volkskool’s 774.
