GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On Tuesday 9 March, Graaff Reinet police visited Asherville-, Spandau- and Nqweba secondary schools to raise awareness around various issues including domestic abuse, drugs and teenage pregnancy.
Lieutenant Colonel Moira Abrahams emphasised the importance of responsible living, a healthy lifestyle and personal hygiene. She reminded learners that discipline should be practised both at home and at school.
Learners were also informed about the victim empowerment centre at the Graaff-Reinet police station, and the services that are provided at the centre.
The police told learners they will always be available when a learner needs their assistance.
The learners received pencil cases, stationery packs, sanitary pads and hand sanitizer supplied by Gift of the Givers.
