MURRAYSBURG NEWS - The Murraysburg Police station was closed for deep-cleaning this week after three employees tested positive for Covid-19.
The affected employees are under isolation. It is not yet clear if any other personnel are also being tested for the virus.
A spokesperson for the Western Cape Department of Health, Nomawethu Sbukwana, said there seems to be a challenge with the Murraysburg community not adhering to Covid-19 safety practices.
“Our community liaison officers visited Murraysburg a few times to address the community on their adherence to social distancing and safe practices in the pandemic,” Sbukwana said.
Murraysburg recorded 29 positive cases since the outbreak of the pandemic. Five of these patients died, 13 recovered.
