GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - For the past ten years, the Pink Tea Team hosted fundraising events to raise money for the local Cancer Association in the fight against the dreaded disease.
While the Covid-19 pandemic sank this event in 2020, a successful function was recently held at Profcon Resort in Graaff-Reinet.
The guest speaker, Corene Conradie from Gift of the Givers, grew up in Graaff-Reinet and is a proud product of Spandau High School.
The theme of her speech was 'Suffer for Beauty' and the importance of self-care. She emphasized that people sometimes need to go through tough times to teach and appreciate success.
The theme for the event was 'Hats & Heels' and the ladies were all dressed-up for the occasion. Corene and her team from Gift of the Givers sponsored hats and lucky draw gifts for the ladies.

This event would never have taken place without their generous sponsorship of Prescient Foundation while Profcon Resort provided the venue, refreshments and a high tea atmosphere for the day.
The Pink Tea organisers also wish to thank all individuals, schools, businesses, Movember Men and the Koeberg family who also made donations.
Other donors were Oasis, Pick n Pay, Spar, Elsona, Infinite Beauty Salon, Lisa’s Boutique, Our Yard Restaurant, Pioneers Restaurant, Victor’s Hairdresser, Boundless and Reinet Studio’s.
