KAROO NEWS - Camdeboo National Park has embarked on a cleaning campaign to open Piekniekbos during this year's festive season.
Certain areas of the grass have been cut and certain picnic sites have been cleared and hoed. Nine dustbins have been placed on the terrain.
However, there are no ablution facilities on the site. Camdeboo National Park management together with its stakeholders requests visitors to keep the area clean and tidy at all times.
Visitors should please practise safety and security at all times.
Every person who uses the facility is asked to respect the rules and regulations of the Camdeboo National Park and to be considerate toward other people making on the picnic site.
Piekniekbos will be open from 15 December until 2 January with the gates open from 08:00 until 20:00 strictly.
The park asks everyone's collaboration to use the dustbins and keep the area clean - these dustbins will be serviced once a day and where possible visitors are requested to take their garbage with them when they leave.
Any unlawful activities, rude and disrespectful behaviour towards Camdeboo National Park and its employees and overall disregard of Picnicbos will result in the site being closed without any formal notice.
