GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Narsingstraat School hostel project is in the news again, with a series of fundraisers being organised by Karlien de Wet on behalf of Montego Pet Nutrition.
“Join us as we raise glasses and funds for this worthy cause,” enthused de Wet.
A series of art events will be held at Polka restaurant in Somerset Street, at approximately monthly intervals.
The evening session will run from 18:00 to 21:00.
Each month a different artist will be discussed, and that artist’s work will be used as the inspiration and guideline for that evening's class.
Picasso, van Gogh, Matisse, Gaugin, and Kahlo will be amongst the well-known artists studied.
A local artist will guide the group through two hours of painting, and much fun and laughter is also anticipated.
“You don’t have to be an artist to have an amazing time,” said de Wet.
The cost of R220 per person includes all art materials, snacks, and a signature welcome drink.
All profits will go to the Narsingstraat Hostel's upgrade project.
The first three upcoming events are Magic Matisse on 19 February, Painting with Picasso on 26 March, and Friends with Frida on 30 April.
As there is limited space available, those interested are urged to book as soon as possible.
