GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A Graaff-Reinet drug dealer and two suspects in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition were arrested in Santaville on 22 August.
The arrests follow a joint operation between the Graaff-Reinet Operational Command Centre and Cookhouse Crime Prevention Unit.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson of the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, intelligence gathered led police to a home in Santaville, where the two suspects, both 35, were found in possession of the firearm and ammunition.
"Information then led the police to another suspect, who was arrested for dealing drugs," said Rawlinson. Police found the suspect, 24, in possession of over 27 tik straws, worth at least R1 600.
Rawlinson said the suspects have appeared before the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate's court and were remanded until 12 October.
