CRADOCK - Neil Jansen, a former student of Michausdal Secondary School, visited his hometown in Cradock, meeting his old friend Jonathan Macquire. During a casual gathering over a traditional barbecue, they discussed the challenges facing the school.
Macquire's wife, recently elected to the School Governing Body of Neil's alma mater, sought ideas for improving the school despite limited funds.
Jansen stepped up and shared that he owned two sets of rugby gear worn by famous players Cheslin Kolbe and Eben Etzebeth. Both players were key members of the Rugby World Cup-winning teams in 2019 and 2023.
To help the school, Jansen decided to donate one of these sets for an auction. He is asking his Facebook friends to vote on which set should be auctioned.
The most popular set will be put up for a 14-day auction, and all the money raised will support Michausdal Secondary School's School Governing Body.
Anyone interested in joining the auction can follow Jansen's Facebook page for updates and details.
Which pair do you think should be auctioned?
