GRAAFF-REINET - Under the leadership of headmaster Zanovuyo Mdingi, Nqweba Secondary School marked a significant academic achievement with a matric pass rate of 88,6%.
Mdingi expressed his joy, attributing the success to the collective efforts of the staff, the Department of Education and stakeholders, emphasising that these results are a reflection of the community's dedication.
"This is not only my results but the results of the community. It was a long journey of hard work, sleepless nights and working under pressure. But the learners could grab whatever they could receive from the teachers," he said.
Top candidate Romi Petro Mellowood, who secured an impressive 71% average, highlighted the importance of a balanced study approach, managing her time effectively between rest and study.
The achievement marks a substantial improvement for Nqweba Secondary School, surpassing the 2022 pass rate of 82,9%.
The school staff, exuberant about the results, commenced Friday morning with celebratory singing, and the learners were treated to a musical performance by the school choir.
