KAROO NEWS - Department of Health: A rape victim who wishes to remain anonymous was sent to the Midland hospital in Graaff-Reinet since there were no rape-kits available at the Aberdeen hospital.
The DA spokesperson on Health in Bhisho has put a question about the matter to the new MEC of Health, and DA Member of Parliament, Samantha Graham Maré, also submitted a parliamentary question to the health minister, to establish how many hospitals nationally do not have rape-kits.

Sassa will not be rendering any counter services until further notice. This is because the license discs of all their vehicles expired on 28 February and the grace period has lapsed.
Graham-Maré has reported the matter to the DA in Bhisho to raise, failing which she will submit it to Parliament.
