No bail for alleged rapist says uMasizakhe community
Members of the public gathered in front of the Graaff-Reinet Court today to protest against the bail of an alleged rapist of a minor child.

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS & VIDEO - Disturbed members of the uMasizakhe community in Graaff-Reinet gathered outside the Magistrates Court today, 22 February, to implore the magistrate to deny bail for an alleged rapist due to appear before court today.

Reportedly this follows after it came to light that a minor girl was raped by a man known to her, who has since been arrested and charged with rape.

After his arrest the accused remained in custody, but his formal bail application is scheduled to be heard today. More information will be published as soon as it is received.
