GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — A suspect has been arrested in the last week for a murder that happened in January in Graaff-Reinet.
On 21 January, Graaff-Reinet SAPS received a call from a passer-by that there was a body by the bus stop on the R75, opposite the Collie Koeberg Stadium.
The victim was declared dead at the scene by members of the Emergency Medical Services.
She was identified as 30-year-old Ronel Nicolette Goliath, from Koebergville, and a case of murder was opened.
Colonel Jonathan van der Rheede is delighted to report that, after an intensive investigation led by Detective Warrant Officer Weibrandt Marais, the boyfriend of the deceased has been arrested and detained.
The 42-year-old man, who is from Geluksdal in Adendorp, appeared in court on Wednesday, 11 April.
