GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A murder suspect handed himself over to the police on Saturday 2 November, after he allegedly stabbed his friend to death.
Andile Tshutsu (29), from Krom Street, Santaville, died on scene near a well-known Umasizakhe tavern. The suspect is in custody and will appear in court on Monday 11 November.
The police said the investigation is at a sensitive stage and did not want to name the suspect.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, said it is alleged that the victim was walking in Embekweni Street near a tavern when the incident happened. "The victim was later found with a stab wound on the left side of his chest," Rawlinson said.
Rawlinson said nobody saw the incident happened. "The victim was lying on a machete, but that could be his own as the wound on the victim indicates that a knife was used to stab him," Rawlinson said.
