GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Union High School's new Representative Council of Learners (RCL) for 2019/20 was recently announced.
According to Mariëtte Burger, spokesperson for the school, the RCL consists of four learners each from Grade 8 to Grade 11, who ensure that student opinion on the running of the school is heard and noted.
"The RCL also plays a big role in maintaining discipline at Union," Burger explained. "These young leaders have a busy year ahead and Union welcomes them into their new positions."
They are:
Grade 8: Brigette Oelofsen, Caitrin Spence, Xhamla Magubeni and Andrue 'AJ' Victor.
Grade 9: Asa Matross, Barbara McNaughton, Mohamed 'Aashiq' Hartley and Ruzhe Hendricks.
Grade 10: Catelyn Anthony, Hannah Watermeyer, Kyle-Luke du Preez and Rogan Odendaal.
Grade 11: Sakhe Booi, Laetitia Theron, Bowen Langmead and Buchule Siloti.
