COOKHOUSE NEWS - The Cookhouse police have arrested a man (47) in possession of stolen property and drugs.
The police received a tip off on Wednesday 20 January that the residents of a house in Bongweni, Cookhouse were dealing in drugs.
Police Spokesperson Captain Bradley Rawlinson said on obtaining a search warrant from the Somerset East Magistrate’s Court, the police conducted a search and seizure operation at the house, confiscating mandrax, tik, dagga and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The estimated value of the drugs is R2 350. Stolen property from a previous robbery was also confiscated.
A 47-year-old man was arrested and detained at Somerset East Police Station on charges of drug dealing and possession of possible stolen property and will appear in court soon.
