KAROO NEWS - The Betsies, a country band from Cape Town founded in 2010 by sisters, Landi Degenaar (banjo and vocals) and Zelmari Degenaar (acoustic guitar and vocals), are coming to the Karoo this November.
Over the past few years, The Betsies have been lucky enough to find three talented country-loving guys who share the same love and passion for country and bluegrass music.
With Paul Avenant (drums), Geriant Bojé (bass) and Christo Loots (electric guitar and mandolin), they play the best mix of original songs and country covers.
This “country rock ‘n roll bluegrass honky tonk langarm hillbilly band” – as they describe themselves - will make you dance the whole night through.
The Betsies are making their way from Cape Town to the Karoo from 11-13 November.
- Friday, 11 November: Boetie’s Pub, Nieu-Bethesda
- Saturday, 12 November: Die Skousaal, Murraysburg
- Sunday, 13 November: Profcon Resort, Graaff-Reinet
For tickets, contact the respective venues for more details or contact Paul at 073 798 9695.
