A tree was planted in remembrance of Theuns Eksteen on Friday afternoon, 19 October, at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club.

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A group of senior golfers recently gathered at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club to honour the memory of Theuns Eksteen.

Theuns Eksteen, a community stalwart, died on Sunday, 29 July.

Always an avid golfer, a great many stories could be told about his golfing activities.

Eksteen was part of a group of senior golfers who met regularly on Friday afternoons for a gentle round of golf, always interspersed with anecdotes, banter and wonderful camaraderie (especially at the 19th hole!).

On Friday, 19 October, this very group planted a Fever tree near the 9th hole at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club to remember him by.
