GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Family Violence Child Protection & Sexual Offences Unit in Graaff Reinet is seeking the communities assistance in tracing two rape suspects.
It is alleged that the two suspects, who were involved in the rape of a 12-year-old child in Umasizakhe in December 2020, had apparently forced the victim into bushes near Tjoksville, Umasizakhe, near Graaff Reinet and raped her.
The first of the two suspects had a scar under his right eye and was wearing a light brown jacket at the time of rape. The second suspect was shortish, chubby built, wearing a dark T-shirt and black beanie.
One of the suspects was in possession of a boom box.
Police are appealing to anyone who may recognize the suspects from the facial identification or may have any information that can lead to the successful arrest of the suspects behind this heinous crime to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Valomia Abrahams on 049 807 6207 or 066 239 6153.
