GRAAFF REINET NEWS - A 26-year old man will appear in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday 1 November, on a charge of murder after a man was killed outside a local tavern on Sunday evening.
At about 00:30 on Monday 31 October, Graaff-Reinet police were summoned to the Midlands Hospital where they found the body of a 25-year-old man with a stab wound in the upper body.
Immediately leads were followed, which led to the arrest of the suspect, who was shown through CCTV footage near the tavern to have been on the crime scene.
Police have also seized an alleged murder weapon.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the formal identification process has been concluded.
