GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A 50-year-old suspect has been detained in the murder investigation of Graaff-Reinet local Richard Kalaka (50), who succumbed to his injuries in Midland Hospital, following a stabbing on 4 October.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, Kalaka was allegedly visiting his girlfriend in Umasizakhe at 19:00 when the stabbing occurred. The suspect will appear in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court today (6 October).
“The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage,” said Rawlinson. “A case of murder has been opened for investigation.”
