GRAAFF-REINET — One of Graaff-Reinet’s most disadvantaged communities was recently treated to soup to help fight the winter chill.
The management at Fresh Stop College Motors, with the assistance of their staff members, held a successful pop-up soup kitchen outside the Day Hospital in Asherville on Wednesday morning, June 21.
Management at Fresh Stop College Motors decided to host the pop-up soup kitchen aiming to provide a hearty and nourishing meal for the young, elderly and sick residents of the area.
Delicious soup, fresh bread and various items of merchandise were handed out to all those who queued at the Fresh Stop soup kitchen.
Manager, Stephan de Souza said, “As part of our continued commitment to be involved in the local community, we hope our pop-up soup kitchen has added some cheer and warmth to those most affected by the cold.”
Warm soup is handed out to residents.
