KAROO NEWS - Former Union High School learner Sisanda Henna stars as Bongi in the new movie Klein Karoo 2, which will premiere on DSTV Box Office on 15 December.
Henna is an award-winning, world-class actor, with an impressive portfolio of diverse and powerful leading roles. He also played in Klein Karoo 1 eight years ago.
Henna's most recent successes include M-Net Cinemax ZDF created series Trackers, which became the popular African channel's number one viewed show, Rogue alongside a seasoned global cast including Megan Fox, Inconceivable an M-Net original, One Night Kwa Mxolisi, a Showmax original film, and Agent, a 13-part series currently streaming in 190 countries across the world on Netflix and aired on Canal+ and SABC 1.
In the SAFTA winning Griekwastad (2020), an Afrikaans murder mystery, Henna gives a gut-wrenching performance as the accused farmworker playing opposite Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy, Jack Ryan).
Very early in his career, Henna worked alongside John Kani (Captain America Civil War, Murder Mystery and The Lion King) an icon in the global film, television and theatre; and most recently with UK actress Karima Adebibe (in Deep State II) as well as American star Megan Fox (Transformers).
Born in picturesque Bisho, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, Henna's acting career began when he captured the hearts and minds of the viewers in the role of Andile in the local drama series Tsha Tsha for which he immediately won an award.
Proud of his Xhosa heritage, Henna is fluent in his mother tongue isiXhosa and still actively keeps the cultural nuances of his lineage alive while remaining modern, worldly and progressive.
Henna is extremely passionate about sport and maintaining a vibrant, healthy lifestyle.
In Agent, Henna plays a highly athletic football star and in Rogue, he transforms into a mercenary with a colossal physique. These two roles required intensive training and body conditioning to ensure peak fitness and a body that is in superhero form.
