GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Meals on Wheels (MoW) initiative was recently established in Graaff-Reinet and has since been operating a community feeding scheme serving hungry families and delivering nutritious meals to the poor all over Graaff-Reinet.
The need for such an initiative is experienced on a daily basis in Graaff-Reinet as it is almost impossible for homebound and frail seniors to meet their nutritional needs on their own.
The MoW service is run mostly by voluntary helpers who give of their precious free time to prepare, deliver and serve the struggling elderly in Graaff-Reinet.

On weekday mornings, the team of volunteers assemble to prepare and pack hot dishes to deliver to an ever-growing needy population.
This tremendous achievement has been made possible only through generous support - from Montego Pet Nutrition amid others - for which they are most grateful.
While the Meals on Wheels initiative is fortunate to be part of a generous and supportive community, the number of people needing assistance continues to grow and they sorely need the public's help.
Graaff-Reinetters are asked to please consider joining them in their cause by making a contribution of food or much-needed funds.
The team behind Meals on Wheels in Graaff-Reinet consist of Ncumisa Ngongoma (manager), Nosiphewo Vellem (secretary), Jan White (driver), Caroline Gamana (cook), Gracey Noko (cook).
