GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Beloved Graaff-Reinet residents, Mrs. Edith Bosch (67) and her son-in law, Mr. Randall Carelse (46) lost the fight to Covid-19 on 30 December 2020 and 19 January 2021.
Mrs Edith Bosch was a respected educator whom provided 41 years of service to Kroonvale Primary School.
After retirement in 2013, she still remained adamant in improving the livelihoods of disadvantaged children within the Graaff- Reinet community.
Herself and another retired teacher opened a school named Thembalethu (meaning: to provide hope) for learners with special education needs. A positive difference was evident as these children were treated with patience and love.
Mr. Randall Carelse was a prominent figure within the community and local government. He provided 18 years of service to the District Department of Education. He formed part of many structures and forums within local government.
Since the announcement of the Covid-19 pandemic, he was an active member in the Dr. Beyers Naude Local Municipality's Joint Operations committee, in actioning plans and implementing regulations to curb the spread of the virus.
His presence, positive inputs and recommendations will be missed.
Both Edith and Randall remained positive throughout their illness, and the family was confident of a full recovery, however they are at peace, that God's will has been done.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to each and every individual for their support and prayers.
