This year's event, held this past Friday evening, 22 February at the Botanics, was themed 'Rain'. With elaborate décor to match, delicious food and an electric atmosphere, the farewell will surely last in the memory of those who attended for a long time to come.
The glamorous couples arrived in grand cars of all sorts, with each couple's arrival celebrated by family and friends who sat in the grandstands, waiting for them to walk down the red carpet and into the hall for what promised to be a legendary party. A ceiling covered in white umbrellas and glittering lights, rainclouds filling the foyer and the elegantly dressed Grade 11s on hand to wait on their seniors, lent the hall an air of glamour and sophistication. After the evening's formalities, the matrics enjoyed a delicious supper before dancing the night away.
n The matric farewell committee members are thanked for their hard work and the pupils who assisted are also thanked for helping to create a magical evening.
