GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Union Preparatory School will play host to an exciting swimathon this afternoon, Friday 19 January, between 14:00 and 18:00. Everyone is invited to join the event that blends water fun with a meaningful cause.
In February, two extraordinary mothers from the Union Schools' community, Natalie Davenport and Kat Ott, will undertake an 8-mile swim during their 8-Mile Charity Challenge at the Midmar dam in Kwazulu-Natal to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Foundation (Choc) of South Africa.
Before tackling this challenging endeavor, they are organising a swimathon at the school's pool, and the community is encouraged to participate.
The details
Entry Fee is R100 per person and participants are encouraged to challenge themselves and swim as many lengths as possible to contribute to the cause.
