GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A delegation of residents is gathered outside the municipal offices in Church Street to express their discontent with the housing situation in Graaff-Reinet.
They are now making their way to the Robert Sobukwe building where they will demand the issue to be addressed.
According to one of the residents who is part of the delegation, should the municipality fail to respond, they will resort to burning. He says that there are Graaff-Reinet residents who have been on the waiting list for houses since 1994 and have still not received houses, while people from outside (Transkei, Queenstown and other localities ) who have settled in Vrygronde are now being prioritised .
