GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A peak attendance of 7564 was reached on the final day of the “Be Courageous!” convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, held at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium from Friday, 19 October, to Sunday, 21 October.
Delegates came from throughout the Eastern Cape and Garden Route regions, including the Camdeboo district.
The programme was filled with practical information on how to face the challenges of life with courage. Inspiring examples of courage were drawn from the scriptures, the modern day, and even from nature, with many multimedia presentations on large LED screens bringing the message to life.
On Saturday morning, following the talk “We Are Not the Sort Who Shrink Back”, 105 delegates presented themselves for baptism.
A particular highlight was the feature film The Story of Jonah - A Lesson in Courage and Mercy, shown on Sunday afternoon.
