GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality employees participated in a potjiekos cook-off competition on 29 September to raise funds for Graaff-Reinet Hospice.
The event took place at the Botanic Garden, where five teams from different departments competed - Finance, Dr Edward Rankwana, Municipal Manager’s Office, Corporate Services, Infrastructure, and Community Services.

The judges were Zamile Booi (Sassa), Siphokazi Matebe (Avbob), and Lyndon West (Masthead Financial Planning) and had a tough time - not due to the meat! - choosing a winner.
Ultimately the Infrastructure Department emerged victorious. They will now compete against all governmental departments, councillors and SANParks on 27 October to raise funds for Hospice, and also participate in the Cansa Walk for Life event.
The judges were impressed and the teams thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
