Possession of drugs
A man was caught in Kroonvale after hiding a piece of a mandrax tablet in his mouth. A police officer saw the man trying to avoid police vehicles on Tuesday 24 September at 5pm. He stopped him and found the drug in his mouth.
Theft
A woman sent a person known to her to draw money for her at an ATM on Saturday 21 September.
The person did return with her bank card and money. On Monday 23 September, she received a message that R3 200 was deducted from her account. On inspecting her handbag for the card, she found it was gone.
Burglaries
• A man reported to the police that on Wednesday 25 September, R1 300 went missing from his nephew's home on Top Street, Umasizakhe.
• A Man from Jacaranda Street report that between 23 and 26 September his music system worth R9 000 was stolen from his residence. There was no sign of forced entry.
• A resident from Umasizakhe reports that he left his residence on 26 September. On returning on 27 September, he discovered that his two-plate stove, tekkies and R5 000 was stolen.
Malicious damage to property
A complainant (43) from Santaville reports that on Wednesday 25 September at 9.30pm, she was fighting with her son over a CD player. He then burned her clothing.
Robbery with a weapon other than a firearm
A woman from Caledon Street reports that on Thursday 26 September at 12pm, she was unpacking shopping bags when she saw a man in the yard of her residence. The complainant chased the man away, but when she reached the front door the suspect returned and robbed her of her cellphone and wallet.
