KAROO NUUS - The Cradock Business Forum presented its annual prestige event on 27 October at The Palms Venue in Cradock.
Prizes were awarded after the winners were determined in a public voting system.
Guests were entertained by a special performance by the Aerial Arts and Paradox collectives group.
The following winners received awards:
- Stefané Spann - the One in a Million award for the best colleague in town
- André Thompson and Ivan Stock received an equal number of votes and shared the Hero award for the person who is always willing to lend a helping hand
- Marius Thompson of Kommietjies Restaurant and Bar received the Culinary award for the person, restaurant or business that sells the best food in town
- Bergman and Adam Optometrists won the Service Excellence award as the business with the best customer service in town
- Ricky de Klerk was awarded the Brighter Future award that goes to any person that teaches extra-mural sport, art or cultural activities after hours. Miguel Cardoso received the award on his behalf.
- Jack Adam Bergman and Adam Optometrists received the First-Class Boss award for the best boss in town
- Tjokkie du Preez of The Palms venue won the Champion Award for a business that is always willing to assist schools by means of sponsorship
- Rockdale Abattoir walked away with the Golden Apple award, which goes to the business or person that is invested in the growth and pre-existence of the town
- André Thompson received the spotlight award for the most social person in town.
