GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet SAPS says it will implement a zero-tolerance approach to lawbreakers as of midnight.
Local Police Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, said this evening (1 April) that those caught breaking President Cyril Ramaphosa’s 21-day lockdown laws, as implemented on 26 March, will be arrested and brought to justice.
Fines have been set by the Department of Justice, which start from R2 000.
The recently announced essential traveling and shopping rules still apply.
“This is serious. We are all at risk, please comply,” Rawlinson said.
