GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Camdeboo Hospice will be having another of their popular stoep sales on Saturday, 16 March, from 09:00 till 12:00, at their premises at 18 Church Square.
There will be a plentiful supply of bargains, with books, bric-a-brac and jumble, all at ridiculously low prices, kindly donated by members of the community.
Those new to town may not be aware of the scope of the local Hospice’s work. There is no local residential facility, but trained staff members provide home-based palliative care to those living with life-limiting illnesses, not just in Graaff-Reinet, but also Aberdeen, Jansenville and Klipplaat.
Hospice’s professional nurse also travels to each of the outlying towns once a month. As well as expenses incurred directly for patient care, there are numerous overheads such as rent and rates, staff salaries and telephone bills that need to be provided for. Every rand raised is invaluable, so residents are urged to open their hearts and wallets to support the sale on 16 March.
Anyone who has goods that they are willing to donate for future sales can drop them off at the Hospice premises at any time.
