ABERDEEN NEWS - A real feast awaited the 80 or so who attended the Mother’s Day lunch at the Aberdeen Dutch Reformed Church last Sunday.
A team of eight chefs prepared a delicious meal of chicken, lamb pie, a selection of vegetables and a tasty pudding of assorted sweet treats.
Many families took the opportunity to give Mom a break from cooking, and a social and relaxed atmosphere was evident, with good fellowship between friends and family.
The décor was arranged by Estelle van Wyk, with flowers by Naomi Motley and fragrant lavender supplied by Annelie Lategan.
The organisers would like to thank all of those who donated food, as well as those who gave so generously of their time in the preparation and serving of the meal.
