GRAAFF-REINET NEWS – On Friday and Saturday, 10 and 11 August, Judi Sheard will be displaying her very popular, 100% pure soft wool, which is hand spun and dyed in an array of beautiful, vibrant and explosive colours, known as Karoo Moon wool, in the courtyard at the Karoo Trade centre in Church Street, Graaff-Reinet.
Before moving to East London, Judi and her husband, Howard, used to farm near Nieu-Bethesda where the simple desire, by mother and daughter team, Judi and her late mother Sheila Knott, to empower the single mothers and widows among their staff by teaching them the art of wool-spinning, evolved into buzzing home industry, a sought after pure wool product and the birth of a family business.
