GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The organisers of the recent Pink Tea event would like to thank those in Graaff-Reinet who contributed so generously to the success of this annual event.
This year it was held at the Botanics Gardens Hall on Tuesday, October 24 - due to the growing success of the event, a bigger venue has been needed each year since its inception in 2012.
The number of guests this year certainly exceeded the organisers’ expectations!
Margie Parks gave the guests an insight into how the Graaff-Reinet and District Cancer Association came into being and explained about the day-to-day workings of the organisation.
The guests were enthralled by the magnificent performance of the guest singer from Port Elizabeth, Nico Lottering.
The organising committee would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all who helped them raise the amount of R10 151,30 which was handed over to the local Cancer Association. They are also grateful to the friends and family members who donated gifts for the lucky draws.
The following businesses and individuals helped with sponsorship or donations: Montego Pet Nutrition (André van Rensburg), Spar, Pick n Pay, Graaff-Reinet Studio, Elsona, Blue Magnolia, Shuiab Mohammed, Bernard van Heerden, Oasis, and Lisa Boutique.
The organisers are already looking forward to an even bigger and better function in 2018!
