NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS - Those participating in the Camino Compassberg 100km trail circumnavigating the iconic Compassberg, once again set off from Nieu-Bethesda this past Monday morning, 30 April.
Six enthusiastic hikers left the village at 09:00 on a perfectly still Autumnal day encouraged by locals and their dogs.
The weather bodes well for the week and walkers will be assured of gorgeous views on this stunning journey.
The Camino is organised by Bethesda resident Belinda du Toit and includes a mix of rustic and luxury accommodation, meals and good company.
The route is divided into day walks of approximately 25km per day with breaks for lunch in beautiful places, farm accommodation and hearty meals each evening.
